Why are you on the internet?
The internet is the most democratic and available venue to the creative world; art works can be appreciated and enjoyed without outside pressures. I can display any art work of mine and others that I chose. It is free and independent of art dealers, gallery owners, publicists and other trend setters.
Why is your art work so inexpensive?
The art works are sold directly from the artist without the added expense of gallery commissions and their related promotional costs. These savings are the passed on to the web purchaser.
Do you only paint small pictures?
I work both in large and small formats. The same painting challenges are found in all the various sizes and shapes of the painting surfaces (canvas, panel, paper, etc.). The variety of scale and surface keeps me visually stimulated and consequently this is then reflected in the art works.
Why do you use so many different sizes?
I periodically change the media (watercolor, acrylic, oil, etc. ) and scale of my work to challenge myself so that I do not become complacent and take formulated shortcuts that can make art seem superficial and mass produced.
